SONGWRITING
The Dreamer, released January 2014, is Neha’s debut album, produced by her and mastered by Mark Donahue. With eleven of twelve songs written by Neha, it showcases her songwriting skill. A finalist in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest for "The Willow Tree," the album explores her personal thoughts and desires. Tracks like "The Dreamer" and "Way Back Then" challenge societal norms, while "The Darkness" and "Whole" reveal her inner self. Accompanied by six NEC-trained bandmates, the album blends jazz, folk, blues, and classical Indian influences into a heartfelt, melodic reflection of Neha’s life and vulnerabilities.
Life Imagined, released June 2017 is the debut album written and performed by Brooklyn-based trio Everything Turned To Color. The eleven track LP was recorded, mixed, and mastered by Blake Morgan at ECR Music Studios in NYC.
Inspired largely in part by two of the band members' foray into parenthood, the songs on "Life Imagined" play heavily on the bittersweet dualities of life and the big questions we all must ask. While much of the music exudes a whimsical lightheartedness in mood and melody, the lyrics dive deep into the fragility and innocence of childhood, the significance of enduring friendship, and the inevitable moments of love and loss that haunt us all.
