Neha is a composer, songwriter, and vocalist whose work sits at the meeting point of jazz, American folk, and the Hindustani classical tradition she grew up with. A conservatory-trained pianist and singer, she writes for film and performs across a wide range of musical worlds.

Her recent film credits include the shorts Places I Call My Own (dir. Sushma Khadepaun), Another Take (dir. Kunao Yan), and Forever My Child, along with her first feature documentary. She also collaborated with composer Gil Talmi on the feature 52 Blue, which had its festival premiere in April 2026. In 2023, she was one of five composers selected for the prestigious ASCAP/Columbia Film Scoring Workshop, mentored by music supervisor Alex Steyermark. She was also chosen for the Society of Composers & Lyricists Mentorship Program for the 2023–2024 year. Neha also writes original songs for children — songs that tell small stories, spark imagination, and often carry a gentle lesson.

As a performer, Neha has played Lincoln Center with the folk/jazz trio Everything Turned to Color, collaborated with Grammy-winning songwriter Dan Zanes, and headlined the off-Broadway show Sleep No More. She has performed works by Pulitzer Prize winner David Lang, composers Paula Prestini and Adam Roberts, and avant-garde artist Sxip Shirey. A finalist in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest, she has released multiple albums, including her solo debut The Dreamer and Life Imagined with Everything Turned to Color.

A proud first-generation Indian-American, Neha is committed to amplifying the voices of women and POC in music. She is a member of the Resistance Revival Chorus, holds degrees from Northwestern University and the New England Conservatory (M.M. in Jazz Voice Performance), and lives in Brooklyn with her husband and two young children.
