Teaching in Red Hook

Super excited to be teaching a some classes at the Jalopy Theatre and School of Music this Spring in Red Hook! 

Starting Monday, March 17th. Jazz Singing and Beginning Solfege and 4 Part Harmony.

8PM-9PM MONDAY MARCH 10, 17, 24, 31, APRIL 7, 14, 21, 28 Do you love listening to Frank Sinatra and Ella Fitzgerald? Have you always wanted to sound like them? Well now you can learn how! This workshop focuses on individuals who have a deep love of singing. Some experience is preferred, but not necessary.

We Shout Love

An addendum to my last post, if you enjoyed the music from either video, you can stream or purchase "We Shout Love" on BandCamp or Soundcloud. "Breathe In," off the celebration video, is available on my new album, due out on January 14th.

This summer I was asked by my dear friend Andrew Bentley to collaborate and write a song based on a video he recorded during a snowy morning in Minnesota where he proposed to his long time girlfriend, Elizabeth Graber. Creating a song to match images and a story was one of the most challenging artistic projects I've encountered yet, but I'm so proud of the work we did to celebrate this union of love. Andrew beautifully re-edited the video to match the crescendos in the music. I hope you love this celebration of love as much as we do! Special thanks to Jared Baca for doing such a beautiful job mixing and recording the song and Rachael Panitch for her gorgeous string playing! . ..Neha was in the deep-jazz vein, singing and playing a string of originals that had the classic sound of the Great American Songbook, with her own cheeky lyrics (“Don’t get all boyfriend-y with me/. . . just give me some affection”). She had a warm, pliant voice, and a sharp band . . .
